Myself Boris Almeida . Airtel Mobile No. 9860810851. This is a old sim card & I have done a recharge of Rs. 999/- for Life Time Validity. Now I have received a message from Airtel that the validity of my mobile is going to expire on 110.2.2019 & recharge for Rs. 23/- for extending the validity for 28 days. When i have paid Rs. 999/- for Lifetime Validity they were showing SIM validity till 2030 but now it has been changed. how they can reduce my Validity date. For this 999/- recharge I wasn’t given any talk-time this recharge was only for Lifetime Validity. Pleas take a proper action against this Company for Such Theft. Please fine heavily Airtel on this fraudaulant act which is forcefully compelling his lifetime prepaid customers to recharge the mobile.
Regards,
Boris Almeida

I have the same issue and have asked Airtel to share the T&C of my 999 recharge and which of that gives them the provision to unilaterally dishonor this contract after collecting the Rs 999.
As expected I have not received any response, but the person who called me told me that TRAI has been informed and they have an agreement to terminate this 999 “Lifetime validity plan”. When I asked to respond on the email for the same, he refused to do so saying that he is only authorized to talk to me on phone and cannot respond on email. Also he said this was communicated to all on the Nov2/Oct 2 national newspapers. so They have given us enough time.
