Respected Sir,
I am an account holder in Federal bank, Panangad for more than 15 years. I have recently noticed that for the period 20/07/2021 to 04/08/2021 various transactions (25 nos) are done without my knowledge. The total amount comes to Rs 48538/-
Regarding this matter I have given a request letter to the branch on 05th August 2021 for getting the details of transactions. In the details we received from the bank 7 unauthorized transactions occurred to my post-paid Vodafone Idea connection amounted to Rs 17240/- and 2 unauthorized transactions occurred to my another post-paid Corporate Vodafone Idea connection amounted to Rs 5000/-. These transaction occurred without my knowledge or authentication through mobile banking till 27/07/2021.The total amount is Rs 22240/-.Generally for post-paid mobile connections the payment against the bill invoice happens once in every month and usually it comes below Rs 500/-. My billing date comes on 25th of every month but it is evident from the statement that before the billings date all these 9 transactions were occurred to VI (Vodafone Idea) without my knowledge from my account.
The details are attached in the below upload image. When this came to my knowledge I called customer care 199 and raised a complaint regarding the unauthenticated transactions. Also requested to stop similar fraud transactions in future. Also I approached Vodafone Idea, Vytilla office, Ernakulam a couple of times and raised the complaint. They understood our concern but not yet resolved.
We didn’t give any standing instruction to bank for auto debit in my account. If you check our earlier payment modes it is very clear all payment are done from VI online site through credit card.
Note:- Both Corporate and my personnel post paid connections are VI for more than 10 years but sorry to say we didn’t get any proper support or assistance even if we are a very old customer.
I humbly request you to do the needful for getting my money reimbursed to my account with this bank.
