I have been getting these type of fraud mails since I started looking for a job, just after covid. As I was desperate, I decided to give them a try.
So I went to the interview place, where 1 person asked me few general questions about my background and experience. He then promised me the job after 2 months time if I paid him 5k on the spot. I was desperate so I did.
But I still kept on looking for job elsewhere as I wasn’t sure this how people at IBM hire their employees. By God’s grace I found a job someplace else in that 2 months time, but when time came(for joining at IBM) and I still haven’t received any offer letter/joining email from IBM, I contacted these Fraudulent people asking them for a refund. But that shameless man kept on saying that my offer letter is ready just that if I paid him 8k more he will get it delivered tomorrow itself. I told him that I don’t have any more money and I want the refund asap. He said fine and told me that he will initiate the refund process for my application.
You can guess what happened next. Since then he hasn’t responded to any of my calls/msgs. My msgs aren’t getting delivered to any of the numbers provided by them.
I believe they have a whole network as they keep changing addresses and phone numbers. And how they have remain undetected from Police is really a mystery. These are the worst kind of people. Bloody disgusting kind. They make money out of people’s desperation. Just don’t know how they live with themselves.
